Be Alert to Fraud! There are Criminals who Impersonate AEA to Sell Leather Clothing on the Internet

Be Alert to Fraud! There are Criminals who Impersonate AEA to Sell Leather Clothing on the Internet

    The Kaohsiung Branch, Administrative Enforcement Agency (AEA), Ministry of Justice (AEA Kaohsiung) held two auctions of leather clothing in 2017. All of the items were sold out due to the buying craze, which resulted in being taken advantage of by some criminals to fraudulently to sell products under the name of the AEA from time to time. Recently, there are two websites on the Internet respectively named as “rellachic” and “twimoda”

which repeatedly advertised the promotion wordings as “Administrative Enforcement Agency ~ The Warehouse and the Inventory in the Warehouse was Seized due to Failure of the Obligor to Pay the Government the Mandatory Deposit Stipulated in the Procurement Act” and “Buy the Leather Clothing whose Original was NT$20,000 with a Price as less as NT$1499 Online...” along with TV news video clips and pictures without authorization to attract consumers to place orders and make payment online. AEA hereby alert buyers to be more aware of the online information to avoid being deceived. AEA Kaohsiung also had reported to the police for further investigation.

    AEA Kaohsiung hereby reminds all consumers that online sellers who do not provide the information of company addresses or customer service numbers but only their e-mails on the webpages are highly likely to be fraudulent. Consumers may dial the 165 hotlines for inquiry and verification. AEA Kaohsiung currently does not use online shopping malls or any other manners of online auctions. Any of our auctions will be either on-site physical auctions or sales. The auction location will also be stated in the public notice for auction. The information of the auctions of each month will also be uploaded to our official site and Facebook fan page. The above-mentioned and the other similar online sales of leather clothing under the name of Administrative Enforcement Agency (AEA) are not official and shall not be taken as legit. If you have any questions about auctions, please contact AEA Kaohsiung clerks for clarification. Do not easily trust the online information to avoid being deceived!
