Kaohsiung Branch of the Administrative Enforcement Agency held a grand opening ceremony for the new office building on December 24, 2019 at 10 a.m.

Kaohsiung Branch of the AEA was established on January 1, 2001. Since then, the business has increased every year. Up to today, the total number of cases accumulated has exceeded 15,600,000 cases, and the total amount collected has exceeded 105,000,000,000 NTD. The former office building was located at No. 80, Fuxing 1st Rd., Xinxing District, Kaohsiung City. It was rented from the Southeastern Construction Co., Ltd. In order to provide a great environment for the public services and improve the efficiency of enforcement, Kaohsiung Branch submits the application to the Executive Yuan and obtains the approval to build a new office building. It costs around 330,000,000, and has 8 floors above ground and 2 floors underground with an area of 10,855 square meters. The construction started from July, 2016 and completed in January 2019. After the completion of interior constructions, the branch had officially moved to the new office building and started its business on December 2, 2019.

On December 24, 2019, Kaohsiung branch held an opening ceremony in the office building, and invited the officials and honorable guests from the Executive Yuan, Ministry of Justice, AEA, courts of all instances in Kaohsiung, the prosecution offices and other agencies to attend the ceremony. The ceremony started with excellent performance of a string quartet composed of students from the Department of Music of National Kaohsiung Normal University.  After that, the host, the Director of Kaohsiung Branch, Yeh Tzu Chiang, the Director-General of the AEA, Lin Ching Tsung, and the Minister of the Ministry of Justice, Tsai Ching-Hsiang, addressed their speeches orderly. In his speech, Minister Tsai said that since its establishment, Kaohsiung Branch has had an exceptional accomplishment. However, without its own office, the branch had to rent an office from the private sector. Due to the gradual increment in its business, the office space started to become insufficient, and the public also felt inconvenient for its services. Therefore, it is necessary to setup a new office building with high-quality environment for the public. Meanwhile, Minister Tsai also mentioned that it took too long for Kaohsiung Branch to have such a new office building. In addition to thank everyone who helped in the process, the Ministry of Justice will make the best to assist the promotions of all new constructions in the future. In the end of his speech, Minister Tsai hoped that with the assistance of new equipment, all officials in Kaohsiung Branch can reach a better performance, and continue to implement the policies with "justice" and "care". The most important expectation for Kaohsiung Branch is that we not only focus on enforcements against the people who owe a huge amount and urge people to follow the laws willingly, but also provide the caring help to the most vulnerable people in our society. After the speeches addressed by the officials from all levels and the Minister, the Lion Dance and War Drum Group from Tainan provided the lion dance and brought a good beginning for the future of the branch with the congratulations and celebrations from all officials and honorable guests. After the performance, the opening and unveiling ceremony was conducted by the Minister and officials from all levels to witness the historical moment of opening the new office building. At the end of the ceremony, the Chief Enforcement Officer of Kaohsiung Branch gave a tour to the officials and honorable guests in the new office building.

The address of the new office building of Kaohsiung Branch is No.2 Zhengnan Street, Lingya District, Kaohsiung City. It locates between the Sanduo Rd. and Zhongzheng Rd. On the right side is the building of the Southern Taiwan Joint Services Center, Executive Yuan. Also near the Zhongzheng Rd. Interchange of National Highway No. 1, Exit 2 of the MRT Martial Arts Stadium Station of the Orange Line of Kaohsiung MRT, and behind a major parking lot in Jinma New Village, the location of the new office building is convenient for the public who take the MRT or drive by themselves. After moving the office to the new address in Lingya District, Kaohsiung Branch is located beside Southern Taiwan Joint Services Center, Executive Yuan. The offices are expected to attract the people for businesses or public services on Sanduo Rd., Lingya District and increase the local business and boost the prosperity of the area.
